WV is delighted to report that one of our volunteers who had been appointed to do some intervention work for LCC has donated her total fees for the work of £500 towards the sponsored walk.  Our target of £1000 for the sponsored walk has been reached, and the actual amount will be announced next week, at the latest.  The money will go towards organizing WV events/work for the next six months.  We thank all those who have supported our work.

WV's first of The three sessions with Alima Zunaira Amber on the topic of
"Differences between Culture and Religion (Islam)"
held on the 25th March in Accrington, attended by over 67 sisters. The second part is on Saturday 31st March at the same premises and at the same time.

Woman's Voice celebrated its 3rd Anniversary on the 3rd March 2012
at Jan's Conference Centre, Blackburn. 200 people from far and wide, from many different communities attended the event.
The theme of this year's celebration was "Women We Most Admire," and 3 awards were given to those women/representatives who have stood up to raise their voices to make a difference, locally, nationally and internationally.

The evening also saw a Tribute Artist (Whittney Houston) sing some of her most well known songs, and a three course meal was served to 200 guests, who included the Dean and his wife of Blackburn Cathedral, Chair and members of Cathedral Appeal, representatives/guests from Ummah TV, students and members of the general public.

The evening concluded at approx 10.30 p.m.
